About

This domain changed hands. The previous blog ended around 2018. This site is run by a new editorial team and has no connection to the previous blog or its author.

This site publishes practical guides for kids, family life and the home. The main sections are toys and activities by age, family routines, days out, meals and gifts, and a family-friendly home. Homeschool and learning at home are a smaller section.

Readers are in the United States first, then the United Kingdom. Where the shops or the rules differ, the guides say so.

Posts, photos and family stories from the previous blog are not part of this site, and they are not being rewritten.

Who edits it

In the Trenches of Motherhood editorial team, edited by Robert Thomas.

Robert Thomas is the editor. This page does not give a biography, and it does not call the editor a parent.

How pages are made

Guides collect public sources and link them. The method, the re-check schedule and the AI disclosure are on How we review.

Affiliate disclosure

In the Trenches of Motherhood takes part in the Amazon Associates Program.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

If you buy through a link on this site, the editorial team may earn a commission. You do not pay more. A commission does not change a verdict. Links go straight to Amazon. The full statement is on the Affiliate disclosure page.

AI disclosure

AI tools may help find sources or draft a first pass. They do not publish a page. The editor checks every page against its sources before it goes live. The full account is on How we review.
