Advent Count Down

You have to see this. It’s like a paper count down chain, only BETTER!

It has to be just about the cutest Advent countdown I have seen ever. Jessica at Kerflop links to original inspiration here

I have to try and remember this for next year. I especially love how the things inside of the envelopes aren’t “things” at all, but activities to do with your children.

I love those envelopes! I’m doing stocking shapes instead inspired by these: http://lorilynh.typepad.com/between_dreams/2006/11/sunday_night.html

except I’m only doing the 12 days of Christmas. I know better than to believe I could sustain a full 24 days of Christmas-y Cheer! haha

They’re lovely. I’m kind of doing something similar but I’m making the envelopes out of felt…. no it’s not finished yet, my fabric got lost in the UK postal system.
I’ll put up a post on my blog showing the finished article, it might happen before Christmas…

I like the idea, and the envelopes look so pretty, but I’m so lazy. I could probably pick up a bunch of mini-stockings at some Dollar-store-type place and use those.

As long as they’re not full of lead (how do they even GET lead into trading cards and baby shoes, anyway?)(Re. your “Mommy Points” blog)
